INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL SHARQ TARONALARI

This festival takes place every two years in Samarkand (in odd years) and celebrates the "melodies of the East". Performances are given in the open air in the Registan square, during which Uzbek singers, musicians and dancers, but also from other countries of Central Asia, revive the traditional songs and melodies of the East. At the same time there are numerous exhibitions of photographs, costumes and instruments in different places of Samarkand.
