On the program of this dhow festival: traditional dances and songs and, of course, sailing.

Dhows, the traditional wooden Arabian dhows with white triangular sails so characteristic of the Arabian Sea, are part of the intrinsic culture of Qatar. They are honored, as well as the tradition of pearl fishing ancestral during this week of festivities. The program includes traditional dances and songs and, of course, dhow sailing. There are many boat illuminations, pearl fishing competitions, etc. It is held in the cultural village of Katara every year.
