Cafés and tea rooms are usually open from morning until late afternoon. During the high season, the doors are open every day of the week and sometimes even on Sundays, but beware, the opening hours become more random between April and September. The bars all have the same opening hours: for example, cafés that are converted into bars in the evening or establishments that open their doors in the late afternoon. However, especially in Buenos Aires, they are open until late at night, often until 3 or 4 am! In more remote areas, such as Patagonia, the bars are open every day in high season but the pace usually slows down in the low season, especially at the beginning of the week.

The price of drinks is significantly lower than the European market prices. For alcoholic beverages, take advantage of the happy hour where you can buy two drinks for the price of one or get a discount of up to 50% off a glass. In general, count $600 per pint in Argentina. In Buenos Aires one goes out to the boliches to admire the tango dancers. When you're with a group of friends, it's also customary to soothe your stomach by sharing large tablas or tablitas filled with cold cuts, cheese, olives, bread, grilled calamari and other regional delicacies
