Passover, Jewish Passover, commemorates the liberation of the Hebrews of slavery in Egypt. During the family meal, the "Seder", which marks the beginning of the feast, the head of the family, reads La, the story of the exit from Egypt. Passover, which takes place in early spring and lasts 8 days, also celebrates the fertility of the earth pending a new harvest. During the days preceding the festival, the entire house is thoroughly cleansed: during the whole period of Passover, the slightest scrap of bread is forbidden, as well as any product that has undergone the fermentation process. The matzo is prepared, kosher bread, unleavened, in memory of their departure from Egypt. In the face of God, the Jews must be humble and do not inflate themselves as the leaven makes the dough inflate. Passover is symbolic cleansing, everyone gets rid of the "ferments" of evil.
