We know that travelling through airports and flights can be a difficult experience for people with disabilities. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has just published a guide with new guidelines to facilitate air travel for people with disabilities. Created with partners in the travel industry, these new guidelines aim to improve booking and information exchange processes; advise airlines on the development of a communication toolkit to interact with passengers with disabilities; better train ground staff, in France and elsewhere, on mobility aids; and also take into account accessibility standards when designing airports.
