Your tailor-made trip begins on the island of Boa Vista. After airport formalities, private transfer to Sal Rei for your hotel accommodation. The rest of the day is free to enjoy Sal Rei, a small town with around 9,000 inhabitants. Its name derives from the salt (Sal) extracted from its salt pans, which were said to be of royal quality (Rei). Salt mining, for which the town was famous, ceased for good in 1979. Bars, restaurants and small souvenir shops abound in this village, which remains typical and authentic despite the development of tourism. Among the nearby beaches, Praia das Chaves is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful on the archipelago. An immense expanse of fine sand, dunes as far as the eye can see and a turquoise sea. the Viana desert: the island has a veritable desert in the north-western part of the island: the Viana desert. Ocean winds continuously transport huge volumes of sand from the African continent and deposit it on the island of Boavista. This has created veritable sand dunes, interspersed with sparse vegetation and a few volcanic rocks.

morro de Areia: In this magical setting, white sand dunes meet the deep blue of the ocean to create an idyllic tableau.

santa Monica beach: A veritable dream beach. The turquoise-blue ocean laps the fine sand over a distance of 18 km (the longest beach in the archipelago).

cabo Santa Maria: In September 1968, a Spanish cargo ship wrecked on this beach. The rusting wreckage gives the place a surreal look.

curral Velho: This ancient village in ruins overlooks the islet of the same name, inhabited by pelicans and other seabirds.

In the company of your private English-speaking guide, discover the city center and the famous "Platô", with the Sucupira market. In the morning, private transfer from Praia to the village of Figueira da Naus, the starting point for your hike down to the sea. You'll pass through a village and several hamlets at altitude. Then you'll follow a ridge and a canyon, until you reach the lush green oasis of Ribeira da Prata and its black sand beach. A day rich in contrasts, between sea and mountains. Walking time: between 3h30 and 4h00; Ascent +: 220 m; Ascent -: 840 m. After your hike, private transfer to Tarrafal, where you arrive in the early afternoon. Meals on your own. you could take a sea excursion to the Aguas Belas cave: Transfer to the small fishing village of Ribeira da Barca. You then sail along the coast on a traditional fishing boat. Beach, oasis of crops, basaltic organ formations plunging into the sea and encounters with fishermen punctuate the navigation. You enter the grotto, where a play of light makes the turquoise water seem to fluoresce! Return to port via the same route. Depending on sea conditions, you may be able to swim en route. Duration: approx. 2.30 hrs (11.00 a.m.-1.30 p.m.), with English-speaking guide.

you could also hike in the Serra de Malagueta: The Serra Malagueta, a steep massif in the north of the island, offers unique, breathtaking scenery. Its lush green ridges, often shrouded in clouds, dominate wide tropical valleys, descending to the ocean and dotted with small villages. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, the planned itinerary is a loop from the ridges, down into the valley, then back to the starting point. This day can be adapted to suit your needs, as the Serra de Malagueta Natural Park offers numerous trails and possibilities. Walking time: approx. 4h30 (9h00 to 13h30).

Transfer to Praia airport for your flight to the island of Fogo. Arrival at Fogo airport, then private transfer to Chã das Caldeiras. Chã das Caldeiras is a magical place, with an immense crater 10 km in diameter, the remains of an ancient collapsed volcano. In the morning, you have two options:

You can climb to the highest point of all the Cape Verde islands (2829 m). This excursion gives you a complete view of Chã das Caldeiras and the volcano's successive eruptions. Elevation gain and loss approx. 1100 m. Ascent approx. 4 hours. Descent approx. 2 hours (can be done in a very playful way by running through the ashes). However, this hike requires good physical condition.

If you prefer a more leisurely stroll, you can do a loop hike. Chã das Caldeiras is a magical place where an immense crater 10 km in diameter opens up, the remains of an ancient collapsed volcano. You'll easily reach Pico Pequeño, site of the last eruption in 2014. Return by another route to discover the volcano's successive flows.

At the end of the hike, your private driver will take you back to São Filipe. Once in Mosteiros, ask him to take you to the village of Pai Antonio, where you can stroll through traditional coffee, orange, lemon, papaya and banana plantations. You can also stop off at the small natural port of Salinas, with its colorful fishermen's boats.

Transfer to Fogo airport for your flight to São Vicente island (with a stopover in Praia). Transfer to downtown Mindelo for check-in at your hotel. You'll have the rest of the day free to explore the city's monuments and highlights. Mindelo, birthplace of Cesaria Evora, is the pride of Cape Verde. This morning, you have an appointment with Micau. This young chef reflects the youth of Cape Verde: very attached to his country and its culture, but curious and open to the rest of the world. He taught himself to cook, inspired by his mother who ran a famous restaurant on the island, and is now one of the island's most renowned chefs. You'll accompany him around the colorful markets, choosing fresh, quality produce, before returning to his home or bistro to prepare it in the local style. Rest of the day at leisure. Lunch included. Private transfer to Mindelo port. You'll take the boat to the island of Santo Antão (the crossing takes between 30 and 50 minutes). Once in Porto Novo, your private driver will take you to Alto Mira, where you'll begin your hike. A beautiful walk awaits you, during which you'll observe the "dykes", vertical rock formations created by rising magma. You'll arrive directly at your accommodation on foot. Your private driver will take you on the famous "rope road" towards Paul. You hike through the lush valley, where small paths lead you from hamlet to hamlet. You cross the highly cultivated Cabo de Ribeira cirque, where coffee, oranges, guavas, vegetables and tubers of all kinds are harvested seasonally, and rum is distilled! Another sublime hike awaits you on this day. Private transfer to Cruzinha, your starting point, via the remote village of Chã da Igreja. Along the way, the cliff-hugging coastal path crosses several ribeiras, offering superb panoramic views of the ocean. Below, a number of coves shelter beaches lapped by turquoise waters. You'll come across a number of isolated villages, including the colorful Fontainhas, overlooking terraced fields that stretch out to the sea. Total ascent and descent approx. 750 m. In the morning, you'll take the coastal road to Porto Novo, before heading for Tarrafal de Monte Trigo (approx. 2.5 hrs drive through splendid, unspoilt countryside). Before arriving, your driver can drop you off at the pass overlooking the valley, and you can then walk down to your accommodation along a path with breathtaking views (1h30 walk). Monte Trigo is a small fishing village, accessible only on foot or by boat. Nestled beneath the island's highest peak, it seems timeless. You'll reach it on foot, via a path running along the coastline. Lunch at Monte Trigo restaurant. Then return by fishing boat to the village of Tarrafal. Approx. 3 hours' walk and 45 minutes by boat. Today, your driver will show you the island of São Vicente. You'll reach the fishing villages of Calhau and Salamansa with their colorful boats. These two villages are separated by the long beach of Praia Grande, which you'll walk along. Lunch at leisure in one of the villages.
