Day 1: Day trip to the Ngorongoro Crater
Meeting with a driver-guide at Arusha/Arusha airport, departure for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We descend over 600 meters into the crater to observe the flora and fauna during a half-day safari. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephant. Another asset of this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. In the late afternoon, we return to Arusha.
