As the world's highest peak at 8,849 m, Mount Everest is magnificently situated between the Nepalese and Tibetan borders, in the Solukhumbu district of Nepal. The Everest Base Camp Trek generally takes 12 to 14 days to complete, and good physical fitness is essential. The trek begins and ends in Lukla, a small town with an airport. The journey passes through Namche Bazaar, Tengboche and Gorak Shep, all popular stops along the way.

Impressive views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and many other peaks, are visible from the trail that follows the Dudh Koshi River. The trek can be done both teahouse-style and camping. For many hikers and trekkers, this is the adventure of a lifetime.

Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival

Arrival in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. On arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Take time to relax and explore Kathmandu's bustling streets.

Day 2: Flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding, 35-minute flight, 3-4-hour walk

Take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a thrilling experience offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Upon landing in Lukla, embark on a scenic hike to Phakding, a charming village along the Dudh Koshi River. The hike takes around 3-4 hours.

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar, 5-6 hours' walk

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, the lively heart of the Khumbu region. The trail passes through lush forests and crosses several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. After a 5-6 hour hike, arrive at Namche Bazaar, where you can explore local markets and enjoy breathtaking views of Everest and nearby peaks.

Day 4: Namche Bazar-Debouche, 5-6 hours' walk

Continue your hike from Namche Bazaar to Debouche, a picturesque village nestled in the Himalayas. The trail offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and passes through traditional Sherpa villages. The trek takes around 5-6 hours.

Day 5: Debouche to Dingboche, 5-6 hours' walk

Trek from Debouche to Dingboche, a picturesque village at the foot of Ama Dablam. The trail climbs gradually, offering breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse and other Himalayan peaks. The trek takes around 5-6 hours.

Day 6: Dingboche to Dughla, 3-4 hour walk

Continue your journey to Everest Base Camp, trekking from Dingboche to Dughla. The trail passes through alpine landscapes and offers views of imposing glaciers and snow-capped peaks. The trek takes around 3 to 4 hours.

Day 7: Dughla to Lobuche, 2-4 hours' walk

Trek from Dughla to Lobuche, a small village nestled in the rugged Himalayan terrain. The trail climbs steadily, offering panoramic views of the Khumbu glacier and surrounding peaks. The trek lasts between 2 and 4 hours.

Day 8: Lobuche- Gorakshep- EBC & return to Gorakshep, 7-8h walk

Embark on a challenging trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. After a brief rest, continue your journey to Everest Base Camp, where you can marvel at the iconic Khumbu Icefall and surrounding peaks. Return to Gorakshep for an overnight stay. The trek takes around 7-8 hours.

Day 9: Gorakshep- Kalapatthar- Pherice, 7-8 hour walk

Wake up early for a hike to Kalapatthar, a renowned viewpoint offering breathtaking views of Everest, Nuptse and Pumori. After enjoying the sunrise, descend to Pheriche, a charming village nestled among alpine meadows. The trek takes around 7-8 hours.

Day 10: Pherice to Namche Bazaar, 6-7 hours' walk

Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar, retracing your steps through lush forests and traditional Sherpa villages. Enjoy the scenic beauty as you descend to Namche Bazaar. The trek takes around 6-7 hours.

Day 11: Namche Bazar to Lukla, 6-7 hour walk

Continue your descent from Namche Bazaar to Lukla, traversing picturesque landscapes and suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. After a 6-7 hour trek, arrive in Lukla and celebrate the end of your adventure at Everest Base Camp.

Day 12: Lukla to Kathmandu, 35-minute flight

Say goodbye to the mountains on a scenic flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring Kathmandu's bustling streets or relaxing after your trekking adventure.
