Day 1: Moshi to Mkomazi National Park
Steps: Moshi
Today you start early morning from Moshi at 07:00am to 09:00am and proceed to Mkomazi National Park with a scenic drive including Mount Kilimanjaro to the northwest, the Pare and Usambara Mountains form a dramatic backdrop to the south, and, to the north, Kenya’s vast Tsavo National Park sharing it's border with Mkomazi, making common ground for migratory herds of elephant, oryx and zebra during the wet season. Towards the late afternoon you will take a short walk to see the African wild dogs in the park as you wait for the TANAPA vehicle which takes you to a nearby watering hole within the Rhino Sanctuary (approx. 16:00pm). In the early evening you drive back to Moshi.
