Day 1: Wimereux and the Denacre valley
Steps: Wimereux
Direction the Wimille quay and the bridge, to follow the path of the Denacre Valley. You will first follow the Wimereux river, then you will walk for a while on a secured path parallel to the road before entering the Denacre Valley. More than ten kilometers await you for this loop which will make you discover an old estaminet and its famous waterfall. Return by the coastline and take the opportunity to stroll through the downtown area and finish the day with a seaside restaurant or a take-out fry.
Day 2: Dunes, pines and cliffs
Steps: Ambleteuse, Escalles, Wissant
Set off on the seaside along the Baie de Saint-Jean path. You'll have to walk to the Pointe aux Oies parking lot, then take the path through the dunes and into a pine forest worthy of the Côte d'Azur! Finally, you'll discover the famous Slack as far as the fort. This hike will take you half a day, ideally leaving around 9 or 10 a.m., so you can have a picnic on arrival at theAmbleteuse fort.
You can either set off again in the afternoon, or extend your escapade by another day to discover the beauty of Cap Blanc-Nez and Cap Gris-Nez. Take the car or, better still, the bus! In high season, the bus can take you from Wimereux to Cap Blanc-Nez, Cap Gris-Nez or charming Wissant. From there, you can hike the local trails and discover breathtaking scenery.
