The herds come down from the Vosges meadows where they spent the summer. In Munster, we always celebrate in a good mood this moment in the farming calendar. The festival of the transhumance and the tourte is enamelled with multiple animations: farmers' market, demonstration of cheese making, traditional dances and concerts of alphorns, parade of beautiful Vosges cows in the streets, exhibitions and of course, tasting of tasty tourtes!

In recent years, running has become one of Mulhouse residents' favorite sporting activities. Four not-to-be-missed events take place one after the other: on March 24, the Mulhouse half-marathon, a 21 km run through the city's streets, taking in some of its most emblematic sites; in June, the RUN 5 in the Parc des Collines, a 5 km friendly, non-timed race; on September 14 and 15, the Les Mulhousiennes race in aid of the fight against cancer; in October, the Grand Mulhouse Trail urbain, a 13 km race taking in sidewalks, paths, staircases, footbridges and bridges.

A not-to-be-missed race to let off steam, starting in Colmar. Those with a competitive streak will be delighted, as all races will be chip-timed. Bonus: part of the profits from the race will be donated to charity.

In 2010, the Journées de l'architecture association became the Maison européenne de l'architecture-Rhin Supérieur Europaïsches Architekturhaus-Oberrhein. Conferences, tours, exhibitions, concerts, cinema: the Journées de l'architecture are held jointly throughout the Upper Rhine. This event is perfectly suited to Mulhouse, with its great diversity of architecture, particularly Mittel-Europa! Conferences and short films are also on the program.

Every spring for the past twenty years, world music fans have gathered at the Cercle Saint-Martin to attend this festival organized by the Lézard association. Over the course of a weekend, they discover groups with a wide variety of musical influences: klezmer, biguine, tango, jazz, flamenco... The mix of sounds is definitely there! Here's a chance to hear how "flamencoriental" sounds, or hip-hop mixed with electro and Balkan music... Whatever the case, it's sure to swing!

The Colmar Marathon has been a success that has been unfailing since its very first edition in September 2015. He's lining up more and more participants on his starting line! In 2020, this event takes place on Sunday 13 September from Colmar city centre, Place Rapp. From 9:00 am, the top is given with the start of the half marathon, followed by the start of the marathon, relay marathon and squadron marathon from 9:30 am. The route meanders between town, countryside and vineyards, where the villages of Wettolsheim, Eguisheim, Ingersheim, Katzenthal and Ammerschwihr follow one another in a joyful atmosphere, punctuated by applause and encouragement. A major sporting event that allows the profits from the races to be donated to various charities.

Laughing, giggling, giggling, laughing, hair pulling, wiggling, corkscrewing... There's no shortage of colourful expressions when it comes to expressing the action of laughing, and as such, the Colmar Humour Festival is an excellent opportunity to make your zygomatic work! In October 2020, this event signs its 8th edition with an excellent line-up: Inglorious Comedy Club presented by Vérino, Nora Hamzawi, Michaël Gregorio, Olivier de Benoist, not forgetting, on the opening night at the Casino Barrière in Ribeauvillé, the regional Antoinette de Knackwiller stage! To close these hairy festivities, a Professional Improvisation World Cup is organized on October 25th in the Wine Hall of the Parc Expo of Colmar. This is sure to trigger hilarity everywhere, because, as the late Jean-Marie Arrus, humorist and founder of the festival said: "He who sows laughter reaps gaiety"!

A not-to-be-missed spring event for over 20 years, this festival has been blossoming the buds of free expression, tolerance and fraternity. Organized by the association D'ailleurs D'ici, this good-natured event brings together Colmarians and the inhabitants of the surrounding area for a festive weekend full of surprises. Street theatre, various music, acrobats, circus, children's games, drawing, painting or modelling workshops led by professional artists, there really is something for all tastes and all ages. Another strong point of this intergenerational festival: the Village des Associations brings together about sixty organizations (cultural, humanitarian, immigrant, etc.) that invite you to travel through their craft, cultural or gastronomic specialties. In the heart of the Place Rapp and in the alleys of the Champ de Mars, it's a real popular festival without borders!

Over the years, this Colmar fair has established itself as a reference of its kind at the national level. Hosted by more than 200 exhibitors, it functions as a huge showcase designed to showcase current developments and innovations as well as the know-how of professionals in the house. Kitchen, bathroom and toilet furnishings, living room and bedroom furniture, chic and trendy decoration accessories, all offered by renowned manufacturers and designers: a wealth of ideas is offered to you through various stands and events. Practical decoration workshops (places are limited, so pre-registration is highly recommended!), cook shows (cooking classes and demonstrations by Alsatian chefs), free individual advice offices (architects, decorators, heating specialists...). An unmissable event for all housing enthusiasts!

Created in 2003, this festival organized by the Colmarian association L'Esprit BD takes place during two days in the superb historical setting of the Koïfhus, in the heart of the old town. It welcomes about twenty comic book authors from Alsace, France and abroad, who willingly comply with signing sessions and drawing demonstrations. The public is invited to stroll through various stands offering comic strips and lithos (new or second-hand) as well as figurines, T-shirts and other merchandise. Thematic exhibitions complete this attractive programme. Enough to bubble with happiness!

Set against an enchanting backdrop of snow-covered mountain scenery, this ephemeral open-air skating rink invites you to share the joys of sliding with family and friends. The tradition of this facility goes back a long way, when city employees enjoyed a rudimentary facility for family skating. Today, a circuit specially designed for children aged 3 to 10 is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2pm to 5pm. In addition, a number of special events are scheduled from late November to late December, including a visit from Santa Claus!

Founded in 2001 by Jean-Marc Clergue to promote the guitar in all its forms, the association Guitarmaniaks organizes every year the Guitar Festival which attracts a varied audience, both informed and family oriented. The 15th edition takes place in mid-October at the Koïfhus, in the heart of the old town of Colmar. On the program, exhibitions of open stages and guitar demos. In addition, the Guitarmaniaks association organizes various events throughout the year: concerts, workshops, masterclasses, cultural happenings, to be discovered via its website and Facebook page. Notice to fans of folk, blues, jazz, picking, classical, rock, flamenco!

Throughout the day, there are many shows and animations for young and old! The top of the day is given by a procession. The festival is divided into 4 zones: the medieval camp, the big stage, the children's animation and the path of the strange. The festival ends with a great fire show. Organized by the association "Fête de la Sorcière Rouffach", this festival is totally realized by volunteers. The objective is to propose an authentic festival, to give pleasure, playful thrill and many strong emotions.

Did you know that Alsace is one of the regions in Europe with the most castles on its territory? Numerous events are planned to promote the old stones, many tourist actors and heritage associations are mobilized to organize the day "Tous aux châteaux". The castles and fortified cities will come back to life thanks to volunteers who will welcome the public all day long for guided or costumed tours, exhibitions, stories, games, workshops, treasure hunts, demonstrations...

The valley of Munster celebrates Easter and the arrival of spring with its event " Le Printemps des Cigognes ". Many activities are scheduled in Munster and in the whole valley: egg hunt, spring market and creators, meeting with animals, culinary and creative workshops, exhibitions, concerts... You will have the opportunity to learn more about this emblematic bird and to discover the richness of the very attractive valley of Munster.

Just a few kilometres from the border with the Vosges department, the Schnepfenried ski area offers a whole range of Nordic activities. Here, there's no question of letting the end of summer get the better of us, the arrival of the first snow is eagerly awaited by the skiers. In addition to the thirteen downhill ski runs, the resort has carefully marked cross-country ski trails. You will have the choice between several loops of 2.5 kilometres to 7 kilometres on the heights, and a twelve-kilometre round-trip Nordic road that joins the Breitfirst. A loop completes the 4-kilometre Nordic route to the Auberge de Steinlebach, where it is possible to spend the night. You will probably meet snowshoe walkers or sled dogs who come to enjoy the exceptional view from the ridge.

Concerts, cinema, exhibitions, festivals, puppets: the Lézard association organizes contemporary art exhibitions that show the richness of local plastic creation. The association also develops a rich musical program inside and outside the walls, with the Grillen. It also programs film-debate evenings with the CGR on societal issues. Initiator of very popular festivals, in particular the Musiques métisses festival programmed each year in spring in various places, the Lézard is never short of playful and eclectic ideas.

The Triathlon Alsace Club de Colmar is behind Alsace's only swimrun to date. Held in early September at the Colmar-Houssen nautical base, this fun and sporting competition consists of a sequence of swims (schwim) and runs (run). Depending on your age and physical condition, you can choose from a range of options. The solo or relay race comprises 4 sequences of 2.3 km of running, each interspersed with 200 m of swimming. The Kids Discovery for 8/11 year-olds includes 50 m of swimming and 500 m of running, to be completed twice. And for 12/15 year-olds, there's 150 m of swimming and 1 km of running to do twice!

After 3 years of interruption, the famous festival C'est dans la Vallée ! is reborn under the impetus of its creator and local child Rodolphe Burger. The latter dedicates this 13th edition to his friend Jacques Higelin (deceased on April 6, 2018), an honorary citizen of the city of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines where he recorded two albums. In addition to a tribute evening (Saturday, October 6 from 8:30 pm) which is sure to be full of emotions (with Izia, Areski, Sandrine Bonnaire, Eric Truffaz...), a Jacques Higelin kiosk will be inaugurated in Jules Simon Park. Another highlight of the festival and a major first in this field, the Electro Live Night organised at Val Expo brings together Acid Arab, Arnaud Rebotini and Rebeka Warrior. Sunday, October 6 at 12:00, a musical picnic in the park of Villa Burrus, followed by a closing concert at 5:00 pm with Rodolphe Burger and Bertrand Belin. Nice program in perspective!

Come and cheer on the Mulhouse Basket Agglomération players in some incredible matches, and rock the stands at the Palais des Sports! The MBA professional team was formed in 2020, following a merger between two local clubs. This year, the team is playing in the 3rd level of the French championship, much to the delight of fans. A must to support! Their motto: "United by our past, our colors, our passion". So let's share their passion for basketball!

Now in its ^13th year, Vagamondes goes beyond its original theme of focusing on the cultures of the South. Today, its programming is oriented towards "Borderless" themes (geographical, ideological, societal...), opening up perspectives, the essential being to question and meet each other on what constitutes our DNA as human beings today and tomorrow. Between shows and various artistic performances, take part in moments of exchange with the artists.

The Volley Mulhouse Alsace (VMA) women's team is currently at the top of its game! They shine in competitions all over France, and even Europe! In 2024, the best women's team in team sports in Eastern France will be playing in the final of the French Cup. Between rigor and passion, they are on course to be among the best. It's a champion's factory that promotes values such as loyalty and excellence! A nursery is available for parents during matches. Come and cheer them on!

For over 70 years, Mulhouse's Foir'Expo has been the commercial showcase of spring. It's the annual rendezvous for curious visitors, strollers and buyers of all kinds of products. The "Dec'Or" area, dedicated to home furnishings and decoration, showcases artists and craftsmen in creative, scenic spaces. The gastronomic pavilion, with its various stands and tastings, is always well-visited.

As in the rest of Alsace, Mulhouse has its own small vineyard parcels, the Klettenberg. Small plots, yes, but big ideas! We're banking in particular on the fact that Mulhouse is close to the famous Alsace Wine Route, but also to a wine route that's going from strength to strength: the Baden Wine Route in nearby Germany. So make the most of this new show in one of Mulhouse's creative hotspots!

The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) are an opportunity to discover or rediscover the treasures of your region, and Mulhouse is no exception, as this event attracts a very large public every year. Whether you're with friends or family, come and discover the heritage close to your daily environment, free of charge. This national and European event has become a veritable ritual.
