Opening in spring 2023, this small store at the very bottom of rue Plantagenêt offers organic, seasonal fruit and vegetables from a dozen local producers. Ultra-short circuits, just like the groceries in the back of the store: vegetable soups from Langevine, apple and pear juices, wheat flour, compotes, jams and ciders from Coteaux Nantais, bulk dried vegetables... The shop also acts as a relay point (Thursdays) for the Paniers bio solidaires project.

The story of Un cheval Un champ starts in 2013 with the construction of a trailer and the acquisition of 3 draught horses that allow the team to travel the roads of France. In Puy-Notre-Dame, they are entrusted with 5 hectares of land. Today, they use 10 of them. And have been recognised as quality producers at the Collège culinaire de France. Un cheval Un champ offers organic and seasonal vegetables: from bear's garlic to cabbage, peppers, potatoes and many others, as well as a fine selection of herbs.

At the end of 2023, there will be a new change of ownership for this attractive greengrocer's store on Place Hérault. Also present at various open-air markets in the north of Angers, Benoît and his salesman offer a rich selection of fruit and vegetables, both organic and non-organic, often from small-scale local production, and at prices that have nothing to envy those charged at these same markets. The shop also functions as a local grocery store, offering honey, eggs, dried fruit, soups, jams, local cheeses...

In this other store of the Halles du Lycée managers, in addition to the greengrocer's shop, you can find delicatessen: jams, dried fruits, oils, terrines, preserves, spices... The fresh produce section is interesting, with real mozzarella di bufala, fruit nectars, a soup bar and excellent bottled soups, veloutés, gazpachos... Every week the Halles prepares an assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables in baskets of different sizes.

Les Vergers de la Silve has earned a solid reputation for the production of its apple juice, particularly its sparkling version. The company has been perpetuating its know-how since 1945. The fruit is picked by hand, pressed according to a traditional method, and bottled without any colouring, preservatives or added sugar. You will be able to discover different vintages: Prestige, Terroir or Luxury. For the latter, the company is inspired, for its bottle, by the codes of the great champagne houses.
