FÊTE DES MORTS (QINGMINGJIE)

The Feast of the Dead is celebrated on the 106th day after the winter solstice and usually falls on April 4 or 5. This feast dedicated to the deceased also marks the middle of spring. Families go to the graves of their loved ones to maintain them, the vaults as well as the deceased. They then bring offerings to improve their comfort in the afterlife. Candles and incense are lit to communicate. Ceremonies also take place in the temples.
