Friends of Maldives is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that focuses on the state of human rights in the country. Or rather... "was looking into". The site has been fallow since 2015, which says a lot about the freedom of fundamental rights in the Maldives at the moment. We are tipping you off to this site, as it lists all Maldivian news sites on its homepage (on the right, in the "Links" section. The site is hosted in the UK and the NGO has been able to invest in education and health under the presidency of Mohamed Nasheed.
