Embassies and consulates Samarqand Area

Inaugurated in November 2023 in the presence of Mr. Emmanuel Macron and Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, this latest addition to the network of Central Asian Alliances is housed in a 500 m² building. Equipped with a media library, 5 classrooms, Internet access and a language laboratory, it plays a key role in spreading the French language and culture, with the support of the Uzbek authorities. French courses and cultural activities make it an exceptional meeting place for French-speaking tourists and Uzbeks.

The first French Honorary Consulate in Central Asia is administered in Samarkand by the French-speaking director of Zamin Travel, Isrofil Usanov, who has been appointed Honorary Consul. The consular agency assists French citizens in case of health problems, theft or loss of identity documents and other possible problems encountered during their stay. It also provides administrative information if necessary. For all intents and purposes, the agency does not issue visas.
