A self-taught rural boy with a talent for art from an early age, Benoit Lièvre also has a passion for cinema, where he has been a volunteer. He left school at 16 to work in green spaces, and was later employed by a hatchery on a soil-less farm. And that's where his career path came to an end.
Affected by a birth disease known as "Charcot-Marie-Tooth", which began and worsened at the age of 19, he was bedridden for several days...
Muscles atrophied, making gestures indecisive, with occasional problems of balance and breathing...
It was at this point that art took a new turn in his life. An admirer of Impressionists such as Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Cézanne and many others, he began to paint still lifes and places in the region.
Later, he began to create with recycled materials, most of them found in the back of his garage, which he calls Récup'Art.
