This is the very first edition of this marathon in Bordeaux! The Aquitaine Athletics League, the Bordeaux Urban Community and the City of Bordeaux have decided to combine their sports projects into one. The event will take place at night on April 18th and will cross the city of Bordeaux to make the participants discover its heritage. Already 13,000 registered out of the 16,000 bibs available, hurry up, there won't be enough for everyone!

date: for its first edition, the Bordeaux Metropole Marathon will be held on 18 April 2015 for all running enthusiasts, whether they are competitors or simply those who run for pleasure and well-being
maximum number of participants: only three months after the official announcement of the event, the Bordeaux Metropole Marathon already has more than 13,000 registered for all the races! On the strength of this already successful participation, the organisers will have to limit the number of bibs available to a total of 16,000.
price: marathon, 75 €; half marathon, 40 €; marathon duo 80 € or 40 € per person; marathon relay 100 € or 25 € per person
other races: by offering several race formats, the event is also intended to be accessible. The mythical 42.195 km event will be completed by a half marathon, a duo marathon, and a relay marathon (4 people).
The course
interest: with a start on Quai Louis XVIII at the Place des Quinconces, the course will offer runners a unique loop that will take them from the historic centre of Bordeaux to the towns of Pessac, Mérignac and Talence, before a mythical finish facing the Place de la Bourse. The route will take the runners as close as possible to the historic heart of Bordeaux to some of the city's famous châteaux and vineyards. Its exceptional character will take all its dimension thanks in particular to an event-driven lighting of its points of interest.
refreshment: liquid and solid refreshment points will be set up every 5 kilometres from Km 5 and at the finish. Sponge points will also be located every 5 kilometres, starting at Km 7.5.
services at the finish: the finish line will be located a few hundred meters from the start line, between the prestigious Place de la Bourse and the Mirror of Water. The heart of the Marathon Bordeaux Métropole will beat to the rhythm of the Partners and Exhibitors Village set up along the quays of the Garonne. A pre-race meeting point with the withdrawal of race numbers, the MBM 2015 Village will welcome all the public, participants, accompanists and spectators on Friday and Saturday in a festive atmosphere: entertainment, live music, demonstrations, tastings and food. Next to the Village, a free deposit box will be at your disposal. Close to the start and finish lines, it will allow you to leave a closed bag with your personal belongings before the race and to pick it up after the race, on presentation of your race number.
