It is one of the classic stops on Route 66, which merges here with the Old National Trails Highway. The building dates from 1955 but the restaurant has only been open since 1978. The dishes are of good quality and typically American (fried chicken, sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc.), with some Mexican specialities too. An address not to be neglected before going further into the desert areas surrounding Needles.

This little restaurant in Little Tokyo transports visitors to Japan. We take a seat at the counter, facing theitamae - the chef who prepares the sushi - who works before our very eyes. We love the authentic, hushed ambience, the ban on cell phones and, above all, the exceptional quality of the sushi. While everything is delicious, we recommend you try the miso soup and tuna toro, which are hard to find in Japanese restaurants in France. A great address! Be prepared to wait a little at the entrance.

This is Clint Eastwood's restaurant. The setting is friendly and wooded, even rustic. The hunter's type with its boar heads and its frames straight out of a western movie, one would almost think one was in a saloon. A fireplace is installed outside and manages to give character to a dinner by the fire. The menu includes American specialties such as grills, sandwiches and salads as well as classic Mexican dishes. Prices are relatively reasonable. Keep an eye out for the famous owner who drops by from time to time.

Be careful, in the evening, no reservation is possible, you will have to wait at the bar for at least one hour (especially on weekends). We like this address for its pretty patio and its location, a 10-minute walk from Venice Beach, but the chain is also established in the small Larchmont district.

Sears Fine Food is a city institution that was founded in 1938 by a Swedish family. People come here mainly for the gargantuan breakfast, based on waffles, swedish pancakes drizzled with maple syrup, or omelets accompanied by bacon, salmon or sausages. It is true that you will not be disturbed: 7 tables only, with some outdoor tables for the summer, candles everywhere, wine list and tempting menu. It is therefore preferable to reserve some time in advance. They ask you to double confirm your arrival.
