Togo's coastline, which stretches over 56 km, is a source of leisure that has many followers. What a pleasure to stroll between the coconut trees to the rhythm of the ocean waves, just a few steps from the bustle of the capital! Indeed, the big market is very close, and the autonomous port of Lomé is full of activities. Deep-sea fishing is a possible activity on the Togolese coast. Several professionals offer their services to sea tourists, day or half-day trips, on boats of 4 to 6 people. In the vicinity of Lomé, the Mercure Sarakawa hotel is the only establishment offering the luxury of golf, the Golf Club of Lomé having closed in 2021. It offers a 5-hole Pitch and Putt course, shorter than a traditional golf course (currently under renovation). With an exceptional avifauna and flora, Togo will delight nature lovers. Several agencies and structures offer nature walks, including the organization 1001 pistes, run by a French couple of scientists who lead the association of the Observatory of Fauna, Flora and Protected Areas (OFFAP).

Awale is a very popular game in Togo. It can be compared to backgammon. It pits two players against each other and is played in twelve or twenty-four holes where Caesalpina crista seeds are placed. The holes are either dug in the ground or carved in a piece of wood. The game consists of taking the seeds from one of the holes and then placing a seed in each of the following holes. If the last seed falls into a hole where there are one or two seeds, they are taken. If, on the other hand, the square is empty or contains more than three seeds, the hand passes and the game continues. Awalés carved in wood are often beautifully decorated and are very beautiful pieces of craftsmanship.
