Jean-Philippe Ballanger has created the Moon Harbour brand, a 100% Bordeaux whisky: the cereals are grown in the region, the copper stills are made by a local craftsman, and the aging barrels come from nearby châteaux (Sauternes or red wine grands crus). The tour takes in the raw materials storage area, the vat room, the stills and a bunker converted into an ageing cellar. The tour ends with a tasting of the whiskies, rum and gin also distilled on site.
