You can discover the Leyre and its delta without tiring yourself out on a boat called a Galupe. This flat-bottomed boat, once used to transport goods by river in the Landes region, is steered by a boatman using oars and paddles to preserve nature. This guided tour, interpreted and supervised by Guillaume and Yannick, is open to all. Depending on the tides, you'll discover wilderness areas. You can observe the flora and fauna of this river, nicknamed the Little Amazon for its amber color due to iron hydroxide.

The Leyre is a veritable biological conservatory, home to remarkable and original flora and fauna. Courant d'Eyre offers a wide range of canoeing and kayaking activities on the Little Amazon, including full-day, half-day, morning and afternoon trips. Sailing time (excluding shuttle and breaks) is around 2 hours for a half-day and 4h30 for a full day. Courant d'Eyre also rents out paddles. Think of it for a birthday party or a stag/hen party. New for 2023: an escape game for children.

Bordered by pine trees, large lakes and white sand bunkers, the Gujan-Mestras golf course is ideal for games that combine relaxation, a change of scenery and performance. Here, the 9- and 18-hole courses adapt to the environment in a breathtaking setting. The choice is yours, depending on your level and objectives! Individual or group lessons, assessments, themed courses, free introductory lessons (2 hours) open to all... everything you need to learn or improve. Want to feel like a real pirate? Come and sail on the dreaded Magdeleine lake and become a captain like the famous Blackbeard. Small unsinkable electric boats with black flags guide you on the waves. They can accommodate three sailors and a captain. Little pirates over 9 years old can even pilot their own ship! Life jackets are of course provided on site. After the treasure hunt, the pirate tavern offers waffles, ice cream and hot or cold drinks.

Yak'Ocean offers you a wide range of activities to discover the Arcachon basin in complete privacy, including Île aux Oiseaux, cabanes tchanquées, Dune du Pilat, Banc d'Arguin and Lac de Cazaux-Sanguinet (40). The more experienced can hire equipment, while amateurs can try their hand at pirogue trekking or choose one of the environmental walks accompanied by a professional. The exceptional setting adds to the interest of the route. The first half is hilly. The second half is flatter, with water obstacles. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, you're sure to enjoy the scents of pine, mimosa and arbutus. This is an 18-hole course covering more than 5,700 m with a par of 72. Number 19, the Club House, will welcome you in a convivial setting for a moment of relaxation and a good lunch.

Green Needles Golf in Cassy/Lanton is accessible to all. In the middle of the pine trees and on flat ground, this 9 holes really want to start golf if you are novice, to improve or simply to be fun. Individual or two-course courses in July and August, you will find the formula that suits you, in a friendly atmosphere and in a place that remains magical: the Arcachon basin.

In addition to the boat and canoe trips offered by the Maison de la Nature du Bassin d'Arcachon, located at the entrance to the Parc Ornithologique, there is another area dedicated to nature and family leisure activities. This leisure center has over 20 years' experience in welcoming the public. Here (almost) everything is possible: kayak or canoe hire, with a choice of two routes of 10 or 20 km, bike hire for exploring the basin's trails, and guided horseback rides in the forest and along the river (allow 1 hour).

The Leyre, sometimes referred to as the "little Amazon", lends itself wonderfully to a trip on the water. Amazone Canoë offers full-day and half-day tours. Introducing the little ones to swimming and entertaining them on the beach is the mission of Club La Vigne, which offers supervised lessons and games for children up to 18 years of age. These are held on the beach, for a half-day ticket. Children who swim like fish in water can improve their skills and take swimming certificates, while younger children can take introductory swimming lessons.
