The best restaurants Ile de Koh Lanta

I fell in love with this original restaurant. It serves contemporary Thai and international cuisine with exquisite, colorful presentation. On the menu: beef massaman curry, duck paneng curry, stewed pork... The desserts are not to be outdone. Creative and unusual. The setting is modern and simple, but well-kept, with welcome wood panelling. An ethereal atmosphere and very courteous service. A superb initiative rewarded by loyal customers who come year after year. We warmly recommend it!

One of the best seafood restaurants in Koh Lanta, Saladan. The Saladan Seafood is a great success, with its own lobster farm, which you can choose before your meal, served on the large terrace on a pontoon with a beautiful view of Lanta Noi. The cooks are from the Chao Ley people, and they will know how to bring you to a boil: the products are fresh and the cooking is perfect. Large choice of prepared dishes or fish and seafood by weight.

This bar-restaurant tinted with Rock and Blues is a Koh Lanta classic. You can sit at the counter for a drink, including very good cocktails, or sit on the large covered terrace for a more hushed atmosphere. On the menu are Thai specialties, pizzas, burgers and more... Nice young staff. The atmosphere of the place is very pleasant. Perfect to vary the pleasures after having scoured the establishments on the beach.

This restaurant's setting is not very pleasant, and it's right on the road. And yet, you must try Sole Mare, whose owner is transalpine and offers excellent pizzas, homemade pasta, meats, salads... Not forgetting the traditional tiramisu, a delight. Authentic Italian cuisine that's sure to please! Small wine list too, with good choices (except for the house wine), and spirits.

This newcomer to Lanta's gastronomic landscape has already won hearts. Excellent traditional Thai cuisine, low prices, modern setting, young team, and pleasant background music. That's all it took for The Kitchen to become very popular! The setting is traditional, with lots of woodwork and an open terrace. On the plate, it is delicately presented, fragrant, and slightly adapted to western palates (don't get too spicy).

This establishment specializes in burgers, which are probably the best on the island. Varied choice: beef, pork, chicken, tuna, salmon, shrimps but also vegetarian options. Most of the ingredients are made on the premises and the burgers are served with several sauces and different pickles. Even the presentation is original! If you see the Swedish flag, it's because the owner of the Global Local is from Sweden!

Very pleasant bar-restaurant installed on a corner of the beach, with a very friendly atmosphere. The rustic decoration has a lot of charm. Excellent Thai specialties served with feet in the sand and eyes in the water. Wooden tables and chairs, delicate presentation of the dishes and a smiling team. Get ready to have a good time, because they also serve good cocktails, it will be hard to leave! Warmly recommended.

Located in the northern part of the beach, almost with its feet in the water, this bar-restaurant is characterized by a successful rustic decoration. All wood, it was designed by Otto himself, a carpenter. The cuisine is good although a bit expensive, with a majority of western dishes and a choice of grills, including fish and seafood. The bar area is more popular, with many customers returning each year. The staff is smiling and welcoming. A perfect place to meet people.

It's easy to miss this unpretentious roadside establishment... And yet, it is a great success with travelers. The setting is pleasant: a beach bungalow type structure, wooden furniture and discreet music for the atmosphere. But the asset of this restaurant is its very good Thai cuisine at low prices. The dishes are copious and well presented, and above all they are tasty. All the classics of the country's gastronomy are proposed, from pad thai to massaman curry, declined in vegetarian recipes or not.

This restaurant is located on the road between Klong Nin and Klong Hin, you can't miss it. Built on the side of the cliff, it offers a spectacular view of the sea. The place looks good, with lots of woodwork. The food served is correct, but remains below the expectations of the place. The service, a bit nonchalant, could be improved. The Diamond Cliff remains however an excellent spot to admire the sunset with a drink in hand.

You won't be able to miss it, with its big French flag on its sign! The French Bakery has moved across the street and now has a beautiful terrace on the beach. Part bakery, part cafe and part restaurant, it offers good bread, but also pastries, burgers, paninis, sandwiches and pizzas. The sandwiches are particularly good. You can come and have a coffee, lunch, chat... And even play a game of pool if it is not monopolized by the locals, who seem to love it...

Roi Thai - The Original Thai Cuisine has been in existence in Chiang Mai and Bangkok for over 30 years. Koh Lanta's menu has the same formula: organic cuisine and traditional Thai dishes on the menu. The dishes are hearty and well presented, but some can be a little bland. It also offers cooking classes for the curious. The meal is taken on the terrace by the sea, the view is breathtaking. The attention to the customer also needs to be improved. Anyway, we go there more to enjoy the spotlight than to cook.
