His horses, of Mérens race are perfectly educated and adapted. The merens is native of the High Valley of Ariège, in the Pyrenees. Agile, not too big and with a sure footedness, it is the versatile horse par excellence, an expert in hiking. It has drawn its qualities from the mountains: rustic, it supports well the climate of Gavarnie.

The Jacques-Reynaud municipal rink, called Blagnac Rink, is for both seasoned and novice skaters. On Wednesdays, weekends and holidays, the atmosphere is rather suitable for teenagers. The night, they are suitable for the trips between friends. On Sunday morning, place the families: The 1,800 m ² of ice is divided into two spaces to allow the youngest to skate safely with educational materials and a facilitator. Gourmets and gifts are at the meeting! All sessions are animated by a musical atmosphere and light games. A cafeteria, accessible in skates, can refresh and recover. A hockey club and a figure skating club, Blagnac Rink also organizes numerous animations, shows and theme evenings: laser, snow, carnival… Groups are received on reservation and it is possible to celebrate the anniversaries of the youngest in a reserved space. The Golf d'Eauze Grand Armagnac is better known locally as the Golf de Guinlet. It has been in existence since 1986 and has built up a loyal local clientele of golf enthusiasts. The demanding and hilly 18-hole course stretches over 5675 meters. The course is wooded and decorated with well placed bunkers or greens defended by water hazards. The course is part of a large recreational complex with a restaurant, residence, swimming pool, tennis court and boutique.

Four horse and donkey owners have joined together to make you discover the surroundings of Gavarnie. It is surely the address of the nicest horse rides you will find in the area. Several formulas are offered to you, from the discovery walk to a longer one which allows you to reach the waterfall or to have a picnic. But be careful, you can't visit the Pyrenees National Park, because animals are forbidden.

Here is a real farm with cows, pigs, sheep, rabbits and chickens, but above all 40 fluffy donkeys with tender eyes. Even the mule heads will fall for these cadichons which prove to be excellent companions on the road. They are docile and adapted to hiking. It is in the company of these charming donkeys that you will do the circuit of the Romanesque churches with a stop at the castle of Lordat and its eagles or an incursion in the heart of the reserve of Orlu or a "donkey" expedition of 2 or 3 days to the lake of En Beys.

The Équestre Equestrian Centre is located five minutes from the city centre, within the riding complex of the town of Montauban, close to the racecourse and the national stud-gate. The centre offers sports and entertainment activities: CSO (obstacle contest contest), training, internships with exams (Gallop 1 to 7), hiking, endurances, pony games and walks organised in whole days. Amazing outlet of everyday worries!

The Golf de Montauban Les Aiguillons offers a flat and wooded course which spreads its fairways over some 5 720 meters. A 9-hole course of medium difficulty, it is embellished with numerous water obstacles (six large lakes with a total surface area of over 8 hectares). The major interest of the site is to be barely 10 minutes from the city center, which remains one of the assets of the city of Ingres: not having really an urban area, you can quickly have your feet in the grass.

France's first eco-golf course, this eco-responsible facility is set in 6 hectares of splendid natural surroundings. It features an 18-hole course, a Pitch and Putt, and a 14-workshop circuit on the driving range, equipped with 30 mats including 10 covered stations. So you can swing on 3 courses for all publics. A grass area, putting green and approach green complete the facilities. All levels are catered for, in a family-friendly, intergenerational atmosphere. Les Terrasses de l'Écogolf bar-restaurant is the place to be before or after your round.

Nathalie Bohin, guide and equestrian tourism guide, and François Meyer welcome you to their equestrian farm-center. They breed themselves on 30ha of organic meadows and natural shelters, Arabian thoroughbreds, Castillonnais and Landes ponies. Discover the Volvestre region. Themed walks to admire the Pyrenees chain on the trail of the peaks, to go through the history on the trail of glassmakers. The farm has 6 camping sites and a rural gîte with a capacity of 20 people. Nice choice of 100% organic and local products.

Created in the 1980s by Charles de Ginestet, the Laloubère golf course has become a must for golf enthusiasts. Upgraded to 18 holes in 1990, the site, managed by his son Yves since 1992, now boasts over 650 members. With a renowned golf school, a partnership with the town for schoolchildren and over 100 days of competitions, including the Tarbes Open, the Golf des Tumulus continues to develop, promising many future projects. The 18-hole course takes 2 hours to complete and can be played in 70 strokes.

Séverine, guide and riding instructor, offers excursions through the surrounding mountains, suitable for all ages and levels of rider. Discovering the Lienz plateau is ideal for all participants, whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, there's something for everyone. At an altitude of 1,550 metres, it's advisable to check the weather on your call, as there can be differences between the weather in the valley and that in the estives. One-, two- and three-hour rides are available.

Inaugurated in 1998, the golf course is located on a hilly site surrounded by a forest of fir trees. The 18-hole course is 5,600 meters long, rather sporty but accessible to all levels. It takes about 4 hours to complete. Many services are available on the site: putting green, practice range, cart rental. You can take private lessons and a free initiation is planned every first Saturday of the month.

At the gateway to Bigorre, the countryside reveals its charm through 18 signposted walking loops, offering an immersion into the canton of Rabastens, with the chance to discover its flora, fauna and local heritage. The area boasts a wealth of landscapes, from hillsides to forests. In all, there are 170 kilometers to explore on foot or mountain bike. A detailed map showing the five signposted hiking trails will guide you through the paths of the Neste canton. From the easy 12 km route to the more extensive 30 km route. Explore the different eras of history, from prehistory to more recent times, with sites such as the Mont Arès monastery. Along the way you'll see Celtic and Roman remains.
