Music lessons Midi-Toulousain

Music'Halle is a music school located in the beautiful Espace Job, in the Sept Deniers district. It is possible to take lessons to learn instrumental technique (cello, bass, drums, balafon, guitar, percussion...), orchestral practice, singing and improvisation... whether you like to play jazz, flamenco or rock'n'roll! You will have understood it, it is the passion of the music which animates the places! Short cycle for amateurs, long cycle for professionals, the music is shared by all and is played on the spot in the concert hall. Recording and mixing studio at your disposal to deepen all your musical know-how.

Founded in 1820, the music school became an annex of the Paris Conservatory twenty years later, with music, dance and theater divisions. It is equipped with numerous work studios, a chamber music room, an amphitheater, an orchestra stage and an organ room. In partnership with the COMDT, the disciplines taught in the traditional music of the Occitan domain are singing, violin, the bagpipe of the Landes de Gascogne and the diatonic accordion.

For more than forty years, the Occitan Center for Traditional Music and Dance has had as its goal the dissemination of traditional music and dance, the sensitization and transmission as well as the conservation and valorization of this vernacular heritage. It organizes concerts, offers courses as well as training courses of Occitan song, and also organizes workshops of initiation. To your instruments: accordion, oboe, Gascon bagpipes, hurdy-gurdy..
