Equestrian Tourism Guide (ATE), Christian is waiting for you to make you discover the paths of the Cirque de Gavarnie in complete safety. His horses, of Mérens race are perfectly educated and adapted. The merens is native of the High Valley of Ariège, in the Pyrenees. Agile, not too big and with a sure footedness, it is the versatile horse par excellence, an expert in hiking. It has drawn its qualities from the mountains: rustic, it supports well the climate of Gavarnie.

The Aquatic Complex opened in 2015, with a 25-meter covered pool, a learning pool, a whirlpool, two saunas and a relaxation area with mineral and massage showers. The complex is very complete and pleasant. On sunny days, bathers can take place on the solarium or in the outdoor pool, which is completed by a counter-current swimming lane. Many aquatic activities are also offered. A nice family outing or something to keep in shape for sportsmen.

Over 2 km, the craziest of circuits, with unique and unusual landscapes. In the heart of cliffs and gorges, 16 zip lines from 40 to 260 m long, 4 Nepalese bridges and 11 via ferrata. It's a fabulous place to be, and to be able to do it in this way makes for a truly unique experience. In around two hours, you'll have your eyes full, with the Gave de Pau as a backdrop and its waterfalls topped by fantastic basins. Some gorges are inaccessible by any other route. Laurent and his team are in charge of supervision, and you'll be accompanied by a patroller.

The L'Isle-Jourdain leisure park covers almost 25 hectares to the west of the town, and includes a picnic area. Two artificial lakes fed by the Save river offer a wide range of activities. Electrically-assisted bicycles are available all year round from the tourist office, or you can explore the hiking trails on foot. There are four of them, each with a different theme: a cycling trail, an artistic discovery trail through the murals of L'Isle-Jourdain, a turnkey tour of the historic town center, and a heritage discovery rally for children. The skate park, city stadium, beach volleyball court, petanque courts, fitness area and tennis courts, located between the two lakes, are also accessible all year round. April marks the start of the season. The heated swimming pool boasts an ideal temperature of 28°C for aquagym, aquabike or swimming lessons. Adrenalin junkies and wakeboarders return to the waterski lift. Tricks are performed using structures placed on the lake. It's not until May, when the lake is a little warmer, that paddleboat and pedal-boat rentals start up again. In July and August, the mini-golf course livens up days and early evenings. The Toulouse Tourist Office offers cookery courses with a renowned chef. Two formulas are proposed "Saturday flavours" and "les nocturnes nocturnes". This last formula involves the sommelier of the month for a harmony of dishes and wines (two wines for aperitif and two wines per dish). There are also cookery courses for children from 3 years of age. Children love and speakers combine special kindness and technical skills to learn how to cook with tits ends of cabbage. The plan d'eau de l'Uby is a huge 80-hectare lake for relaxation, with a fitness trail where you can enjoy fishing and rowing in a competitive channel all year round. In summer, bathing is supervised from the large sandy beach. You can go pedal boating, canoeing or paddle-boarding, and enjoy water games and an adventure park for the kids. There's also a 25-metre swimming pool, tennis, volleyball, basketball and pétanque courts.

Ludina is a water park located in a one and a half hectare green area. Its position on the banks of the Petite Baïse river and at the gateway to the city is ideal. The park offers its visitors games and activities to entertain the whole family. First of all, there are the bubble pools, slides, hydromassage jets, pools and ponds for the little ones. 2 km from Castelnau-de-Montmiral, this leisure center extends over a beautiful 7-hectare lake. You can practice water sports (canoe, kayak, pedal boat), sports activities (tennis, soccer, volleyball, ping-pong) and relaxation (mini-golf, fishing, petanque, swimming). Most of these activities are under the supervision of professionals and are subject to a fee. Finally, a picnic area with barbecues is located near the lake, in the shade, perfect for a friendly lunch.

This domain is an exceptional site mainly dedicated to Nordic leisure activities. The forest covers the valley and hides the cross-country ski trails. The 5 circuits unfold their rails over 36 km. Amateurs can learn biathlon on a shooting range, from 8 years old. There are also routes for snowshoeing. In summer, there are numerous hikes of varying difficulty. The Gaube lake and the Pont d'Espagne waterfall are unavoidable.

Go to Aquaval, to fill up on outdoor activities! At the foot of the medieval city of Lautrec, young and old alike will enjoy this cool bath in the heart of nature. The entrance ticket entitles you to all the activities offered: 5 covered pools of 850^m2 with solarium, slide, pentagliss, pulsating jets... picnic areas, volleyball, beach-volley and petanque courts, children's games, 2 lakes open to fishing and model making, and a health trail around the large lake. When you leave, you will only want to go back!

The lake of Gimont is a 2 hectare lake reserved for fishermen and walkers. You will find on its banks some leisure equipments like a swimming pool and tennis courts. There is also an area for camping cars where you can park by paying at the terminal. Not really developed, the lake is especially a small paradise for fishermen. You can catch roach, tench or pike-perch. It is also possible to fish in the rivers of Arrats and Gimone.

Four horse and donkey owners have joined together to make you discover the surroundings of Gavarnie. It is surely the address of the nicest horse rides you will find in the area. Several formulas are offered to you, from the discovery walk to a longer one which allows you to reach the waterfall or to have a picnic. But be careful, you can't visit the Pyrenees National Park, because animals are forbidden.

Here is a real farm with cows, pigs, sheep, rabbits and chickens, but above all 40 fluffy donkeys with tender eyes. Even the mule heads will fall for these cadichons which prove to be excellent companions on the road. They are docile and adapted to hiking. It is in the company of these charming donkeys that you will do the circuit of the Romanesque churches with a stop at the castle of Lordat and its eagles or an incursion in the heart of the reserve of Orlu or a "donkey" expedition of 2 or 3 days to the lake of En Beys.

This 2.2 km trail offers you to walk on the volcanic hillock on which the village of Usson was built. Among the most beautiful villages of France, Usson was for nearly 20 years the place of exile of Marguerite de Valois, wife of Henri IV. Today, the castle in which she was held no longer exists, but the village has many other resources. The path first takes you to visit the village itself, before going up to the statue of the Virgin to get a complete panorama of the surrounding mountains. It finally leads you to a façade of basaltic organs carved by the effect of time and rain.

Between Lavelanet and Mirepoix, it is the only karting circuit in Ariège. It is the first karting club in Midi-Pyrénées and the 7th in France for the number of members and the organization of races. The circuit is approved by the French Federation of Motor Sport. It is equipped with lighting for night races, a control tower, a press room, a timing room, a store, a bar, a restaurant, a campsite and even a paintball field!

This AAPPMA chaired by Jean-Pierre Fugairon (since 1977!) focuses on the following areas of influence: Ariège, from Ruisseau Creek to Savignac-les-Ormeaux, Lauze sur 2 km upstream of Ax-les-Thermes, Oriège from Lake Orgeix (also referred to as Lac Lake) to the confluence of the Ariège and Lake of Goulours. A sports fishing area in the mountains, sports trout in vives vibrant, sporty the approach walking in lakes and altitude ponds!

Le Domaine du Chiaoula offers five snowshoe courses, from level to level confirmed. Standard itineraries are relatively short: 2 km (Chemin du Refuge) 5 km (Col du Riufred). It is therefore possible to combine several in the same day, depending on the time and energy you have. The heart of the snow (and skiing) network is the Refuge refuge, which can be reached within an hour's walk. It will offer you a pleasant break, and especially well deserved!

Carla-Bayle, city of art, is a village attentive to its tourist activity. In order to fully satisfy the visitors and to diversify the activities, a lake of 15 ha was created years ago at the foot of the village. Many water activities are possible: swimming (supervised in summer), boating, mini-golf, games for children, mountain bike and hiking trails... You can also relax by fishing. In addition to the trout whose waters abound, various varieties of fish are present. On the spot, you will also find a snack bar and a refreshment bar.
