Nontron has a long tradition of knife making. Every year the oldest knife in France is celebrated. More than 100 exhibitors are waiting for you during this weekend; cutlers, craftsmen, creators and retailers from all over the world. You will discover their practices, their techniques, their creativity. A dozen workshops will take place over the two days and will delight children and adults alike: forging, flint knapping, engraving on handles and blades, etc. An opportunity to acquire an authentic Nontron knife.

For more than 40 years, the traditional festivals of the Port have punctuated the holidays at the beginning of August on the oyster port. Five restaurants with regional specialities, fairground attractions, entertainment, balls, night markets and exhibitions enliven La Teste in a popular and friendly atmosphere. 630 volunteers are active every year, training new generations to make these festivities a festive and unforgettable moment. Bandas and orchestras add to the joy of life that is spread over 4 days. The whole thing is punctuated on Sunday evening by fireworks!

It all started, more than 20 years ago, with an evening with friends. The Festival des Ploucs is now a major event in the Dordogne. A traditional sport of the Gascons, the Landes race is still the main event of the village festivals. It begins with the parade of spreaders to the sound of the Cazérien march played by the harmony that accompanies the exploits. Organized by the winegrowers of the Côtes de Duras, these two days mix pleasure, sharing and good mood under the aegis of the AOC. The festivities begin on Saturday with a rugby match and a meal with music in the village. On Sunday, the wine fair is held from 10 am with induction by the Maréchalat des Côtes de Duras. Talks receipts are transmitted from mother to daughter. The children's festival in Villeneuve-sur-Lot is a much-anticipated event for the town's youngest residents. It takes place every year in the Parc Saint-Cyr, right in the center of town. During this day, children can enjoy games, sunshine and good spirits. It's a chance for them to have fun and enjoy themselves with family and friends. The Children's Festival is a not-to-be-missed summer event in Villeneuve-sur-Lot.

Throughout this weekend, Caudecoste celebrates the festival of La Madeleine. Tradition wants this event to be crowned with various animations, fireworks, a ball and a grenier. As every year, at the end of November and at the beginning of December, the village of Monflanquin celebrates the Saint-André fair. This fair has been in existence since the creation of the Charter of Customs of Monflanquin in 1256. Once again the programme will be rich and diversified throughout the weekend with musical animations, a carnival, exhibitions, a handicraft market, etc.

For several years now, the Campo de Feria has been established around the bullring as a matter of course, a direct legacy of the great "romerias" organized in the Vauban moat by the Cercle Taurin in the early 1950s. A great event bringing together the festive atmospheres of Seville, Pamplona and Bayonne. Around the bullring, exhibitions, bars and restaurants, musical entertainment, parades, tertulias ... and the plaza of Bayonne is ablaze from morning to evening in an atmosphere very aficionada and festive around the bullfights of the Feria de l'Atlantique.

The ^3rd edition of the Festival Ciné-Notes, which takes place at the Grand Théâtre, was cancelled in 2020 because of the coronavirus. It was dedicated to "Monsters and Creatures" with Jean-Jacques Annaud as guest of honor. Since 1990, storytelling, in all its diversity and magic, has delighted Capbreton's inhabitants for 4 days. This festival places particular emphasis on young audiences.
