SAINT PHILOMENA CHAPEL
Read moreIt's the church of the old village now missing. Erected at the end of the xie, it was redesigned in the xive, then enlarged in the xviie just before the Old Puget was abandoned for the current plain village. Evidence of these many changes: its unusual architecture consisting of two neves ending each one by an abysmal abbey, and above all the double presence of the full-hanger and the warhead, symbols of two distinct eras. Today, it is listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments.

MAJOR CATHEDRAL
Read moreBuilt as early as 381, the former Major is one of the oldest churches in Marseille. In the 19th century, its two bays were amputated and the cathedral of Sainte-Marie Majeure, consecrated in 1893, was added to it. The Romano-Byzantine style reminds us that Marseille was a trading port with the Orient. It is the largest French cathedral built since the Middle Ages. The interior decoration is splendid. To be seen, the four evangelists by Botinelly, Christ and St. Veronica by Carli, the onyx Ciborium and the altars by Cantini, as well as the tomb of Mazenod in the chapel.
