When you arrive by the port of Mae Haad, one of the first restaurants you see is Café Del Sol, run by Robert for the past twenty years. The cuisine is exclusively French and European: steak tartare, flank steak with shallots, pizzas, grilled meat and fish... Almost everything is home-made! The place, open on the street, is very pleasant. The tables are spaced out. You can also come for a good breakfast. The service is impeccable.

Koh Tao's best vegetarian/vegan restaurant! Cuisine prepared without MSG (monosodium glutamate). Specialties based on tofu, seitan, soups, noodles, curries, desserts... Thai vegetarian dishes are full of flavor! Dishes are carefully presented. Try their version of pad thai or black mango sticky rice for dessert! Small, ordinary but pleasant room, with wooden furniture. Friendly service. A place to try during your stay on Turtle Island.

A French-style brasserie in Koh Tao! The Sairee Sairee offers a wide selection of steaks, fish and seafood, pizzas, homemade pasta and burgers. French and European aperitifs and digestives as well as a nice wine list (France, Italy, Chile, Australia), and cocktails that are not to be disliked either. The setting is modern and quite chic. The reception is generally very friendly and the service is prompt and efficient. A "Swiss Army Knife" place where the whole family will find happiness. Popular in Koh Tao!

This small restaurant has a cosy and very pleasant atmosphere. The dishes are made with excellent quality products, some of which are imported directly from Italy. À la carte, fresh pasta, ravioli, lasagne, risottos and calzones... And of course pizzas, probably the best on the island! For dessert, tiramisu is really delicious. The room is pleasant with wooden furniture. And the welcome is warm, a little hard to find, at the end of an alley, but it's worth looking!

A convenient address in the north of the village, on the road to Chalok Baan Kao. Thai restaurant offering appetizing family cuisine. Green papaya salad (som tam), curries, sandwiches... The choice is vast. There are also good breakfast options. A typical wooden place. Floor prices are another factor in the success of Yang Thai Food. The service is rather fast and very friendly. A bit hard to find, but it would be a shame to miss one of Koh Tao's best shots.
