Chambon is located northwest of the Department of Cher. The tourist attraction of the municipality lies in the church Saint-Pierre, Romanesque building of the XII century, historic monument since 1926. On November 13, 1736, the biggest bell in the church of Chambon, of 210 pounds, was broken and revamped, then blessed by Chambon's priest and named Pierre. The godfather was Messire Pierre Girault, priest of Vallenay and the godmother Catherine Jaupitre, wife of Pierre Buret, prosecutor of the bailiwick of the marquisat of Châteauneuf-sur-Cher. The original godmother was Anne Gillet, wife of a Richard Terrace of Dun-le-Roi, but her husband refused, His name is still on the bell, since he had been printed there.
