Rochefort-en-Terre is a park housing the ruins of a medieval fortress, and is also a great place for birdwatching.
Renamed the Jardin des Peintres in 2021, the park of the château de Rochefort-en-Terre has since become a bird sanctuary certified by the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux. The estate is also home to the ruins of the medieval fortress, of which the ramparts and châtelet remain, sharing the stage with a main building constructed in the 20th century on the site of former stables. Since 2013, the park and château have been the property of the commune, but only the park is open to visitors.

Magnifique lieu hors du temps. Le château étant dans les hauteurs de la ville, on peut observer l’architecture du village. La petite chapelle est superbe.

Toujours un plaisir ce petit village magnifique toujours bien entretenu, même sans soleil... toujours le regard d'une enfant quand nous y allons ????

Très joli château, remanié, reconstruit à de multiples reprises, propriété actuelle de la ville de Rochefort en terre, le château semble ne plus être entretenu ni exploité ce qui n'augure rien de bon pour son avenir, a voir tout de même
