Located 3 km from Carnac, anchored at the bottom of the bay of Quiberon, this small town has an important set of megalithic monuments from the Neolithic period. Most of them are classified as historical monuments since the end of the 19th century. Plouharnel also reveals the Notre-Dame-des-Fleurs chapel (16th century), the Sainte-Barbe chapel (16th century), the Saint-Michel-de-Kergonan abbey and the Sainte-Anne-de-Kergonan abbey. So much for heritage lovers. For those who love the great outdoors, Plouharnel also has superb beaches, surfing spots and a cycle path to Quiberon.
