Situated about twenty kilometres from Lorient, Inzinzac-Lochrist is a green commune with the forest of Trémelin, the Bunz park and its hiking trails but also its many parks and gardens which are a delight for walkers and children. The history of the commune was also strongly marked by the creation of the forges on the banks of the Blavet. These made tinplate and sheet metal to meet the needs of the Breton canneries. The forges remained in operation until the end of the 1960s. Inzinzac-Lochrist was then able to modernise its town centre while preserving its heritage: the former carpentry shop of the Forges, for example, has become the town hall!
