This charming little fishing village is dotted with narrow streets and is said to have been founded in the 10th century by the Vikings. The ruins of one of their former camps can still be seen from Mount Garrot, which is only accessible at low tide. Legend has it that the mountain is the tomb of the giant Gargantua. The Chablé menhir can be seen on the path leading to the Beauchet mill. The summit of the mountain, 73 m high, offers a unique 360° panoramic view of the Rance river. Every year, on the first weekend in August, a traditional festival is held to celebrate the Saint-Suliac of yesteryear.
