Saint-M'Hervé is a small town of a little more than 1,300 inhabitants, located about ten kilometers, as the crow flies, north-east of Vitré. The Vilaine river runs through it. In 2000, Saint-M'Hervé hosted the shooting of the film Le Champ dolent by director Hervé Baslé, which was broadcast on France 2 in 2002. The inhabitants had then the joy to follow this shooting and two emblematic actors, Jean Yanne and Yolande Moreau. Today, it is a small, dynamic and peaceful commune in the heart of a wooded and green countryside.
