A bishop of Rennes would be at the origin of this city. Returning from a pilgrimage to Rome, he would have made a call here. Relics of Saint Gregory Le Grand, one of the most illustrious popes of the century gave him his name. Saint-Tg, according to the contemporary local name, is largely benefiting from the canal-and-Rance canal, built in the 1834 th century (completed in) for economic purposes. In 1938, 1 800 barges used it. Around 1920, Mr. Chuinard created a regular service, "Les Vedettes Rennaises", and bought the coffee-guinguette built on the lock site, called the Guinguette Robinson. Stars disappear in 1939.Today, the canal is a popular meeting point for hikers wandering through the old way of slipway as well as sportsmen: runners, kayakers, cyclists and other browsers. The Robinson site is always a rallying place, it houses the kayak club, club that programme the French championship of Polo polo. This green and blue city also has 70 ha of green space. Walking along the canal, you are 25 minutes away from Rennes.Boaters have high quality pontoons for landing.
