This simple fishing village became a parish in the 12th century. In the heart of the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, this 292-hectare land of sailors and peasants, situated about two metres above sea level, is protected by the Duchess Anne's dike, built in the 11th century. Although cereal cultivation is present here, the main activity of Saint-Benoît-des-Ondes is undoubtedly the cultivation of oysters and mussels. On the spot, the 16th century church has a painting of the Last Supper. You can visit the Seigneurie, the oldest building in the town, as well as the Belvédère des Ondes: the panoramic view is not to be missed.
