THE SPACE OF SCIENCES (FREE FIELDS)
A fun place to learn, with permanent and temporary exhibits such as making electricity
The Space Space is a place for all ages and for the whole family because this place has only one credo, making it fun! This space is organized around the Planetarium and three rooms with evocative names: the Eureka Hall, the Merlin laboratory and the Earth Hall. It's about one hour per visit. They propose permanent and temporary exhibitions: to the Merlin space, the discovery of the basics. Experiments can be carried out around the five senses, making electricity, or learning about the climate: an animator has accessible tips for all. In total, thirty manipulations are feasible by small and large. In 2017, you can discover the secrets of the invisible: Wait to be surprised! An ombudsman will answer all your questions while initiating a few manipulations. In the Eureka hall, the discovery of scientific applications on a daily basis. In the earth hall, exhibitions. One example? The "Relationship between Species" exhibition. Finally, the nail is the planetarium, which allows to spend an hour under the heavenly vault, with five sessions, to discover the history of the stars with Galileo, or the conquest of space by man. The Rennes Science Space was awarded the Science and Culture label, Innovation, from the Ministry of Higher Education in 2008. In addition to the many proposed events, he invites prestigious figures from the scientific world to meet the general public (such as Axel Kahn, Hubert Reeves, and Cook researcher Olivier Roellinger), all in free access. We also like exhibitions in the form of surveys that reveal many scientific secrets.
