The commune of Plerguer is essentially rural. Indeed, in the south, one discovers many woods and ponds, like the woods of Beaufort and Mireloup or the ponds of the same name while the north is rather covered with marshy zones. Here, the buildings and houses are mostly built in granite, a grey or bluish stone taken from the subsoil of the city and Lanhélin. In the heart of the city stands the majestic parish church of Sainte-Trinité-et-Saint-Augustin built in the 19th century. In the village, the market of Plerguer is organized every Wednesday and it is a concentrate of local products which promises beautiful finds.
