On the borders of Morbihan and Ille-et-Vilaine, the Paimpont forest is a veritable heritage site. It remains a land of legends, where tales borrowed from Arthurian myth or from local popular beliefs are legion. You can visit mythical sites such as the Barenton fountain, the Val sans retour and Merlin's tomb. Let the storytellers guide you. You can also enjoy a variety of waterside leisure activities on foot, by car or on horseback. The abbey, an architectural treasure trove, is well worth a visit. A small part of the south-western forest was affected by a fire in the summer of 2022.
