3 kilometres from Dol, Mont-Dol is a 65-metre high granite rock that has inspired many legends. It is said that Saint Michael and the devil fought there. On the rock, you can see the claws and the seat of the devil but also the footprint of St. Michael which testify to a legendary fight. From the 10-metre high Notre-Dame tower, inaugurated in 1857, you can admire one of the most beautiful views of the region over the entire bay, from Cancale to Granville, not forgetting Mont-Saint-Michel. The 1843 windmill is in perfect working order. Note that just over 1,100 people live there year-round.
