Le Vivier-sur-Mer is the main mussel production center in northern Brittany. In 1954, mussel farming was born here, and this new activity quickly developed thanks to the technique of breeding on bouchots and to the very favorable environmental conditions. Mussel lovers will be able to taste the best mussels of the region. Every year in July, the mussel festival is held during which four tons of mussels are tasted amidst songs and dances.
