Located 20 minutes by car from Saint-Malo and set in the heart of the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, Dol-de-Bretagne claims its medieval origins through its half-timbered houses and its majestic Gothic cathedral. As early as the 6th century, the town became one of the first Breton bishoprics with the arrival of Saint Samson, the founder of Brittany. Before being plundered by the Vikings, Nominoë was crowned king of the Bretons. Today, the town is a popular stopover for tourists for the medieval houses in the Rue des Stuarts and its Jules Revert walk which offers a unique view of the Mont-Dol and its marshes
