The recent history of the city of Telgruc has been deeply marked by the bombing of September 3, 1944, a tactical error of the allies that saw the destruction of part of the city. Of the gutted church only the bell tower and sections of walls remained standing. The new church is not to be missed, as much for its Finisterian one-room bell tower without gallery as for the windows of the chevet. Take the time to admire the enclosure, its triumphal arch and its Kersanton calvary at the foot of which rises a Pieta impressive by its painful figure whose expression is only sketched by a few strokes of a chisel. A beautiful ensemble
