From Saint-Pol-de-Léon, remember that it is an episcopal city. Spiritual and cultural centre of the region in the 15th century, its architecture was deeply marked by the bishops of Léon who completed the bishop's palace in 1706 and enlarged it in 1750, a splendid period for the town, protected by fortified gates until the 18th century. The French Revolution, by abolishing the episcopal seat, brought the city to a century of cultural and economic decline. A disaster, some would say. The train will bring to the city a new dynamism, a revival of energy linked to farming. It is today a beautiful seaside town!
