The American Vivian Maier, of French and Austro-Hungarian origin, is one of the most talented and exceptional women photographers of the 20th century. In Brittany, the Fine Arts Museums of Quimper and Pont-Aven have joined forces to present a new exhibition dedicated to the artist. In Quimper, the public discovers the photos of the working class neighborhoods of New York and Chicago, the scenes of everyday life and its eccentricities. The exhibition in Pont-Aven is more focused on the self-portrait, a theme through which Vivian Maier sends us her desperate search for her own identity and her relationship to the world.
