Plouigneau has more than 4 000 inhabitants and with more than 6 000 ha of land, it is one of the largest municipalities in Finistère. Gauloises gauloises, menhirs, manor houses and chapels are a few vestiges of his past. The village is modern construction, as it experienced an important bombing in August 1944. Finally, in the curiosity section, its inhabitants are called the Ignaciennes and Ignaciens in reference to the name of the church dedicated to Saint Ignatius of Antioch.
