A charming seaside town, the main attractions here are the Cairn de Barnenez megalithic site (a large burial mound dating from 4,500 to 4,700 BC), and the sea-facing Château du Taureau fort. However, it would be a shame to miss the church built in 1642 (in a style typical of the area, the Beaumanoir style) and the hosannière cross in the cemetery. The Saint-Antoine chapel, meanwhile, has been listed as a historic monument since 1933. If you visit the town on the last weekend in June, be sure to stop off at the Celtytud festival (fest noz, concerts and an Irish evening are on the program).
