The municipality is located on a peninsula at the bottom of the Brest harbour. It has two ports, Moulin-Mer and Pors Beac'h. The first is one of the founding centres for young people from all walks of life to discover sailing and the marine environment. The second one hosts the major maritime festivals of Brest and Douarnenez since the early 1980s. The paths of the GR 34 run along its coastline, composed of beautiful coves and strikes. Finally, it is endowed with a rich architectural heritage (chapels, calvaries...).
