In this Bigouden port, we often hear about the lady of Loctudy. Who is she? The langoustine! Created in 1847 at the mouth of the Pont-l'Abbé river, the port of Loctudy is the most important langoustine producing port in France. Thus, it comes alive, punctuated by the arrival of multicolored boats and the unloading of their catch: langoustines, but also whiting, monkfish and sole ... A towpath that joins Loctudy to Pont-l'Abbé is a superb walk. Beautiful sandy beaches also alternate with rocky points along the 10 km of coastline. A market takes place on Tuesday mornings, all year long.
