It was by royal order on August 23, 1829 that this commune took the name of Le Folgoët. She acquired her fame thanks to her magnificent basilica. The two annual pardons, in June and September, are events for the city because it hosts many pilgrims and curious. Today, Le Folgoët is an active village and is close to the Lesneven. The economy is partly oriented towards agriculture, but several businesses and businesses have settled in that territory. On the leisure side, there is no shortage of local sports and cultural activities.
